  while i think at times such images do exist, i don't think the WT does it.

  hold a mirror over a few commercial magazines, artworks or whaever and before long all sorts of things will appear.

  A bit like seeing shapes in the clouds.

  interesting but meaningless.

  Help! Torn Mother (my mom) between to daughters (me nonJW and pioneer all faithful JW)

  my mother's text: "she tried to love u and be ur sis and leave jw out but when she invited u to memorial like last year she was thinking all religions believe in dead of christ so she wanted u to know when it was and have an invite but u had to send her scriptures back and stuff instead of saying i dont feel comfortable goin... and u dont see it that way u blame it all on jw instead of taking some responsibility for trying or not trying but just hurting her with bring up stuff.

  that hurts her.

  she tried last summer remember she even went swimming with u and did things with u. it wasnt until she saw u post things and blame jw that she had to cut ties.".

  How Will the Society React to the Hundred Year Anniversary of 1914?

  it's only a couple of years away now and what a headache it must present to the gb - providing they have given it much thought already.

  there probably is no elegant way of presenting the hundred year long failure of the end to come; the fact that the "short period of time" of satan being cast down to the earth has now stretched beyond any credibility.

  but they have to deal with it one way or another.

  What's the JW reaction to new 16 page mags????

  if you've been to the meeting when the letter was read, what was jw reaction????

  just curious if it was just another sign that the end is nearer or did any wake up for a second to realize the corporation is downsizing due to costs..

  Submitting an experience to WTS

  just curious, you always hear of the experiences in the yearbook or the wt about how jehovah provided for some lowly pioneer or disadvantaged person, or someone that put jehovah first.

  were you ever personaly involved in one of the experiences or involved enough in the background to see how these experiences were authenticated for publications or assembly?

  i'm wondering how much of these stories we hear are exaggerated or just outright lies,and what they had to do to sell it to us to motivate us to pioneer.

  i'll never forget sitting at our district convention when a lovely pioneer family came on to tell us their experiences.

  they father went on about how the struggled at times but "jehovah provided" like the time a fruit and veggies truck must have lost some of it's load and they filled there bags?????

  not very encouraging at all.

  I used to give those experiences... we were 'trained' to see the hand of mighty jehovah in all good things.

  these days, i have found the same things happen to me even tho i am now a tool of satan too...

  either jehovah was blessing me then and now or satan was then and now. And if satan is blessing me, free from chains, what is the beneift of serving jehovah? Everlasting life on your knees? pass.

  teenagers and the memorial

  both mine went.. son went to one in his new area he moved to, apparently he has mates there so went to keep up appearances so his mates would still hang out with him.. daughter went because she had no choice and didnt pay attention to a thing.

  its all losing its relevance i think.. oz.

  I am tempted to ask 25 year old very pretty lady out but.....

  the father of her kids sees them every two weeks.

  i am not sure if it is a good idea for me to ask her out.

  Know what you do not want first,

  I never dated women with young kids no matter how cute or lovely or chemistry. I did not want to spend more time with another womans kids than i could my own, never wanted to start a second family either.

  what i am trying to say, if you know you are not ready for kids, or 'just don't know', well, i would say don't do it. Its a hell of a way to find out you are not ready.
